Two persons drown in separate incidents

Kundapur: In two separate incidents two persons were found to have drowned here on Monday June 9.
In one incident at Anagalli body of a person was found floating in a pond. As per the voter ID card found in the pocket of deceased person his identity was established. The deceased person is Prakash Pai (33), a resident of Kanyana, Hattiangady.
It is said that Prakash was working in Manipal. On Sunday morning he left home to duty after finshing his two days of leave. He left his mobile phone at home and took only his voter id with him, sources said.
In another incident, a person accidentally fell into the river while crossing near Kandlur. The deceased has been identified as Shekar Devadiga (27) son of Narayana Devadiga.
On Sunday evening he lost balance when he was crossing Kubja river between Kandlur and Soukur and fell into the water. His body was found on Monday.
A case has been registered in Kundapur police station.
