School tonsures ten students for not attending classes

Bengaluru: Police have recieved a written complaint "that students heads were tonsured forcefully" according to DCP Central (Bengaluru) Sandeep Patil.

About ten students of a school with boarding facility here were allegedly tonsured by their caretakers allegedly for not attending classes regularly, police said on Sunday, February 1.

He said the complaint had been received and after taking legal opinion, further action would be taken.

"Cubbon Park police have already started their investigation. As per investigations till now we have received information that about ten boys have been tonsured. After taking statement from each one of them, we will take action as per law," he added.
