Anil Kumble visits Mangaluru for team selection
Mangaluru: Ace leg spinner and former captain of Indian cricket team Anil Kumble visited Nehru Maidan in the city on January 9 for the selection of the cricket team from Mangaluru.

During his visit Kumble lauded the batting style of KR Rahul who hit a maiden century in ongoing test match against Australia in Sydney.  

Mayor Mahabala Marla welcomed Kumble with a floral bouquet. 

So far 2800 persons from Karnataka have registered of which 2000 are from Bengaluru, 200 from Mangaluru and 600 from Hubli. The final selection will be held at Bengaluru on January 18.  From Mangaluru, 10 persons will be selected.

The selection process is on-going said, Srikanth President of Dakshina Kannada Cricket association.
