Udupi: Police here have arrested Praveen Kulal (30) under Goonda act on Tuesday March 24.

A resident of Varvadi in Pernankila village, Praveen has been involved in a number of criminal cases registered in different police stations. Brahmavar circle inspector Arun Nayak, had sent a detailed reort about his anti social activities. 

Going through the report which was verified by SP Annamalai, deputy commissioner and district magistrate Dr Vishal issued an order of arrest against Kulal under the Goonda Act.

He has been lodged in the Kalaburagi jail in northern Karnataka.

Mangaluru: Hindu Jagaran Vedike activist Manoj kulal Kodikere(32) has been booked under Karnataka Goonda Act. 

Manoj Kodikere was the prime accused in Kaikamba Kabir murder case in 2011 and one of the accused in Harish Bhandary murder case in 2010.

November 1, Manoj was summoned to the Surathkal police station where he was booked under the goonda act and sent to Dharawada Jail. It is recalled that he had threatened Corporator Prathiba Kulai while campaigning for the elections. 

 

Mangalore: Keshava Poojary (24) alias Choni alias Poison Choni a notorious criminal and a rowdy sheeter has been booked under Goonda Act. Choni is an accused in the 2013 shootout case on entrepreneur Vijayendra Bhat in Ballalbagh and Sandeep Shetty murder case which had taken place in 2011.

Keshava, the son of Jaya Poojary is a resident of Someshwar. He has been booked under several cases of murder, assaults, looting, extortion and other cases in the past. Keshava is presently serving a jail term in Bellary jail.
