Stone pelted at the hall of Yuvaka mandala in Krishnapur

Surathkal: Miscreants damaged the glasses of the hall of Krishnapur Yuvaka Mandala on the late night of June 1.

The incident came to light on Tuesday morning. The members of the yuvaka mandala have filed a case in connection with the incident in Surathkal police station.

Falcon Royals win first ever Paradise Premier League trophy

Surathkal: It was a battle between the royals at Paradise ground in Krishnapur here as Falcon Royals and Royal Rangers took on eachother in the final match of Paradise Premier League on Sunday night January 18.

Falcon Royals emerged as the first ever winner of PPL trophy by defeating Royal Rangers in nail biting contest and bagged Rs. 1.5 lakh winning amount and the PPL trophy. Royal Rangers was awarded with Rs. one lakh and PPL trophy.

Shailesh of Falcon Royals awarded with Man of the match award for his outstanding balling performance (1over-2wickets-4runs). Shailesh earned a smart phone mobile for his achievement.

Man of the series award was bagged by Imtiaz, key batsman of Royal Rangers for his brilliant piece of batting throughout the series. Imtiaz took away the bike as award.  All the members of the two teams and the commentators, scorers and other persons involved in the tournament were felicitated with mementos.

Actress Deekshita, actor Avinash of Power fame, MLA Moidin Bava and many other dignitaries were present. A musical nite was held on this occasion. As it was Sunday huge crowd turned out to Paradise ground and witness the tournament and the musical programme

Krishanpur to witness `Paradise Premier League’ cricket tournament

Surathkal: Krishanpur is all set to witness high voltage cricket tournament `Paradise Premier League’ which will be held from January 14 to 18 at Krishapur Paradise ground said Moidin Bava in a press meet.  Ten teams will play in the four day tournament. Various companies have already purchased these teams he said.

The first prize will be Rs. 1.50 lakh and the runner up will get Rs. 0ne lakh. Bike will be awarded to the best player. The tournament will be inaugurated on January 14 at around 6pm. The opening match will be played between the team owned by MP Ramanath Rai and my team said Bava.

Bava has been organizing this cricket tournament since many years. This event has turned into a fare in recent years as thousands of people throng to Krishnapur to watch the cricket matches.

Ganja peddlers stab two youth in Krishnapur

Surathkal: Ganja peddlers stabbed two youths on the evening of Thursday November 6 in the school ground at 4th block in Krishnapur.  The injured were admitted to the hospital.

 The victims are identified as Javeed (23) and Masood (23). It is learn that Salam resident of Krishnapur 4th block and Rilwan of Katipalla were sitting in the compound of Krishnapur School on Thursday afternoon. A group of youth namely Ifthikar, Masood, Javeed and Thouzil arrives at the spot and warned the duo not to consume ganja inside the school compound as the classes were on.

Later in the evening Rilwan and Salam returned to the same ground when the youths were playing cricket and attacked Javeed and Masood, stabbed them and fled away. A case has been filed in Surathkal. The accused are absconding.
