Car-Tanker accident: Mother and son critical

Mangaluru: Two persons including an elderly woman were injured in a car-tanker accident near NMPT junction here on Monday January 20.

The injured have been identified as Shreeshail (30), and his mother Shantabai from Mulky. The incident took place as the Swift car that Shreeshail was driving rammed into a tanker from behind. They were returning from Mangaluru to Mulky.  

As a result of the accident both the occupants of the car sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to hospital. Condition of both the injured is said to be critical.

The tanker was plying towards Suratkal. A case has been filed at Surathkal traffic police station.
