Three arrested in the murder case of Nasir from Sajipa

Bantwal: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Nasir (28) from Malaibettu in Sajipa Munnur village in the taluk a few days back.

The arrested have been identified as Vijith, Anish, and Kiran, all from Manchi. Another accused, Abhijeet is still absconding and police team is trying to trace him.

Police sources said that the accused had launched this attack as a revenge, and not for murdering the victim. Reportedly, this attack was in retaliation to an attack which occurred some days back at Salethur in the taluk. Nasir was murdered by four persons, who approached him in the guise of asking for directions.

After thorough investigation police team led by town police circle inspector, K U Belliappa the accused were nabbed.

Murder attempt of bakery owner: Three accused arrested, three still at large

Ullala: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder attempt case of a bakery owner in Maastikatte here. The search is on for the prime accused and other two persons.

The arrested have been identified as Arfan alias Arfa (23) a resident of Kumpala, Saifullasan alias Saifu (21) and Haneef alias Ibrahim (24).

The gang of six people entered the sweet bazaar and general stire in Maastikatte and attacked owner Abdul Salam with sharp weapons. When public rushed to the spot after hearing the screaming of Abdul Salam the attackers had escaped from the spot after taking cash from the cash counter.

The injured was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru. A case was filed in Ullala police station in this regard and in a swift operation police traced down the accused in Chikmagaluru. Another three accused are still at large and search is on for them.

Among the accused Arfan is facing charges of kidnapping in Udupi police station. Old rivalry is said to be the cause for the attack.

Woman held for murdering drug addict son in Thane

5-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for allegedly murdering her 20-year-old drug addict son at their residence in Dombivali in Thane district, police said. The incident occurred last afternoon when the accused, identified as Pyari Chowdhary, allegedly strangulated Ashok to death with a computer wire, said inspector IM Chikalghar of Vishnu Nagar police station.

He said Ashok was a drug addict and would often demand money from his parents. According to police, Ashok had demanded Rs 1,000 from his mother for repairing his vehicle, which she refused to part. "This threw Ashok in a rage who thrashed his mother with belt," the police officer said.

The woman allegedly strangulated Ashok at around 4 pm apparently when he was asleep. A complaint was lodged by the victim's elder brother.

Youth tries to rape and murder girl: Thrashed by locals

Karkala: A youth tried to rape and murder a girl working in a studio in Hosmaru here on Monday August 3. Locals caught hold of the accused and thrashed him red and blue after tying him to a pole.

The accused has been identified as Satish (19) a resident of Eedu village. He came to the studio in the pretext of taking his photograph and tried to kill the girl by strangulating her. When the girl screamed for help nearby shopkeepers rushed to help her and caught the accused. He was later tied to a pole and was thrashed by the locals. The girl was later admitted to taluk government hospital in Karkala.

Karkala police rushed to the spot and took the accused into their custody. A case has been filed in Karkala police station.

Three persons accused of attempt to murder and robbery nabbed

Mangaluru: Mangaluru Central Crime Branch police on Saturday arrested two out of three persons accused of attempt to murder and robbery.

Acting on a tip off, officers headed by Police Inspector Valentine D’Souza arrested Shashi Poojary (23), resident of K.S. Rao Nagar, Mulki, and Dhanraj Poojary (23), resident of Patrakodi, Vamanjoorin the city. The two, along with another, had allegedly attempted to murder Lathish Naik near Alake Market on July 27.

Lathish, along with his friends Indrajit, Siddarth, Pratap and Mithun, was standing near the market. The three accused travelling in a car hit Lathish from behind. The trio later attacked him with swords and other sharp-edged weapons, causing grievous injuries. Indrajith, who tried to intervene, too was injured in the process.

The accused then fled the spot, but had to abandon the car after it developed technical snags. In a bid to escape, they waylaid Nischith, who was on a scooter scooter near Mannagudda, and escaped with his vehicle.

Separate cases were registered in Mangaluru East and Barke police stations following complaints from Lathish and Nischith respectively.Jewellery stolen

A woman, who was travelling by Lokamanya Tilak Express, was robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs. 2.3 lakh in the month of April. According to the police, Vedavati Shetty, from Chembur in Mumbai, had boarded the train in Mumbai at 3.20 p.m. on April 17. She reached Mulki at 6.15 a.m. on April 18.

When she reached home and checked her suitcase, her jewellery was missing. The case, which had earlier been registered in Mulki police station, had been transferred to Manipal police station on July 31.

Man arrested for murder attempt on wife

Mulky: Police have arrested a person for trying to murder his wife on a trivial issue and later attempted suicide by consuming poison. The arrested person is Jayaraj Shetty (40), a resident of Kolekady in Mulky.

Jayaraj, an auto driver by profession had a quarrel withi his wife Sunitha (35) on July 22. In a fit of rage Jayaraj stabbed Sunitha with a sharp weapon on her abdomen. He later consumed poison and drew his auto Mulky bus stand where locals noticed his condition and admitted him to the hospital. Sunitha was rushed to the hospital. She is recovering after operation police sources said.

Kalka Jayananda murder case solved by the cops: wife arrested along with four other

Sulya: Sulya circle inspector B.S.Sathish and his team have solved the murder case of Kalka Jayananda. And prime reports say that wife has instigated the murder for extra marital affair with another person.

Jayanada had left home on 14th to meet the astrologer in Kovettodi. The accused have abducted him even before he could reach the destination. They took him to Odya forest area in a car and tied a rope around his neck and made him die.

Jayanada’s wife Lalita had an extra marital affair with a person named Dhananjay. And Jayanada was a thorn for her relationship with Dhananjay. On Lalita’s instructions, Dhananjay had an eye on Jayananda’s day to day activities.

Along with Dhanajay three other people were involved in the crime. Dhananjay Nekkila, Chandrakanth Nekkila, Dinesh Majaladka, Chintan Charwaka and Lalita are the accused of the murder and are arrested by the cops.

Missing mystery of Kalka Jayanada Gowda solved: wife instigated the murder

Sulya: Kalka Jaynanda Gowda who went missing mysteriously (54) is found dead. The police have said that this is a murder and have arrested three relating to the murder.

Jayananda Gowda had left home on 14th July on his bike. A missing case was filed on 16th July in Subramanya police station. The mystifying missing has created buzz around the village. His family and villagers had searched for him all over the places.

He had called his brother on 14th and had said that he will go to Kuvettadi and will come home. But he had not returned home since then. On 16th his bike was spotted in Nettar but he was not traced.

Even before his missing incident a few days back a jeep had hit him from the back while he was driving home. Because of the incident the public started to suspect some unusual event behind the missing scene.

The humble and harmless person Jayanada gowda was well known between the public and the public had put pressure to solve the mystery behind his missing case.

Cops have solved the case and arrested three people. They said that Jayananda Gowda’s wife instigated them to commit the crime. The accused are Panja Nekkila resident Dhananjaya, Dinesh nad Chintan.

Quarrel over Mr. Gowda’s wife’s extramarital affair had happened between the husband and wife. And for very own reason he has been murdered.

The body is detained from Vadyakadu of Peruvaje.
