A day in slush: Kesarugadde kreedotsav in Pavanje

Pavanje: Kesarugadde kreedotsav a rural and very famous sport event of coastal area was celebrated at Bakimaru gadde in Pavanje. The Jnanashakti Subramanya Religious trust and other various organizations conducted the fest for the 5th consecutive year.
The fest was started firstly by K.S Nityanand Swamiji of Veda Vijnana Mandir to attract the youth towards agriculture, to preserve the agricultural land and to teach the importance of mud. The event was launched to create awareness amongst youngsters.

More than 500 students from 30 different schools and also seniors too participated and enjoyed the event.

Thieves rob silver items from a house in Pavanje

Mulky: House breakers entered a house in Pavanje here and decamped with silver items. The incident came to light on Monday January 26.

Thieves  broke into the house of Rama Murthy near Shri Subrahmanya Swamy temple in Pavanje and fled away with silver plates, lamps and other items valued around Rs. One and a half lakh.

Rama Murthy and his family went to Mumbai for ten days and there was no one in the house when the robbery took place. The exact day of the robbery is not clear.

Mulky police, sniffer dog and finger print experts arrived at the spot and investigated the site. A case has been filed at Mulky police station.

Mangalore
