Youth Congress probes to cancel ‘New Land Acquisition Bill’

Karkala: Union Government’s new land acquisition bill has got a set back here as youth congress is demanding to cancel the bill. This bill is anti farmers and pro industrialists. If the bill comes to force then thousands of farmers will lose their irrigation lands.

Already farmers are faced with lot of troubles like land acquisition for road, insect trouble, scarcity of fertilizers and new factories. Every year decline is found in food and grain sectors.

2012-13 it was 255.36 tons of production and previous year it was 259.29 tons. If this decline persists, then our next gen will hardly get anything to eat. This bill will only facilitate land lords but not poor farmers said the youth congress in the letter; which was then handovered to DC Raghavendra.
