Married woman attacked, face slit with blade by miscreant in Surathkal

Surathkal: A person attacked a married woman with sharp weapon and slit her face her face many times.
The incident occured at Makhrana tiles in Honnakatte here on Tuesday morning August 4. The injured lady has been identified as Soumya, a resident of Katipalla Kaikamba. 
 
 
 
It is said that Soumya was working in Makhrana tiles. On Tuesday attacker waited for her near the showroom, when she reached the gate of the showroom the accused attacked her with a sharp blade and slit her face indiscriminately. He then fled away from the site.

The people present on the spot tried to catch him but failed. The woman was rushed to Padmavathy hospital in Surathkal. But after providing first aid she was shifted to A.J Hospital in Mangaluru.

The reason for the attack is not clear. Police suspect that one sided love might be the reason for this inhumane act. The clear picture will emerge only after the arrest of the absconding accused.
Surathkal police filed a case and searching for the attacker.

Old rivalry: Miscreants attack youths in Alake

Mangaluru: Gang of miscreants attacked two youths at Alake here in the evening on Monday July 27.

Inderjit and Lathish were seriously injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital. The assualters came in Maruthi 800 car and attacked the duo with sharp weapons.

It is said that the old rivalry was the reason for the attack. In a bid to escape from the site the assaulters rammed their car into three other vehicles. They then stopped a bike rider, pushed him away and escaped with his bike, people who watched the incident said.

One of the assaulters was Ravichandra alias Vicky Poojary of Kodikal, a rowdy sheeter sources said. It is also learnt that Lathish, the victim, is also a rowdy sheeter, and is a part of gang from Barke.

Kadri police rushed to the spot and inspected. Search is on for the attackers.

Youth stabbed in Konaje: Second incident in three days

Ullala: A scooter rider was stabbed by unidentified miscreants at Nadupadav in Konaje on Firday night July 17. This is the second stabbing incident in three days.

The injured has been identified as Sirajuddin (24) a resident of Nadupadav, employed at Karnataka Agencies as sales executive.
The incident happened near Nadupadav Engineering college when Sirajuddin was on his way to home on his scooter. The attackers came from the back in a Pulsar bike and stabbed Sirajuddin. He was later admitted to Deralakatte hospital.

Third incident in Konaje: A few months ago a person named Satish was stabbed by miscreants near Infosys.The attackers used black Pulsar during the attack. Then Ibrahim was stabbed near Pajir. On Friday also attackers used Pulsar bike and stabbed Sirajuddin on his lower abdomen. It is suspected that the same gang is involved in all the stabbing incidents. Locals urge police department to nab the culprits at the earliest.

Three cows burnt alive by miscreants in Edapadav

Bajpe: Three cows charred to death as some miscreants set fire on a cow shelter in Kannuri near Tenka Edapadav here on the late night of Monday July 6.

The cow shelter was belonged to Krishnappa Gowda.

The locals have suspected that the cattle thieves after failing to steal the cattle must have set the cow shelter afire. Two cows managed to escape from the fire but three cows remained inside the shelter and burnt alive.

The family of Krishnappa depend on these cows. A case has been filed in Bajpe police station. The locals have expresses their anxious over the brutal act of the miscreants.

Group of miscreants assault a man in Renjala

Karkala: Group of miscreants attacked a person in Renjala.

It is reported that Sandesh Jain was talking with Umesh Acharya, Sandesh and Jaya Shetty in his shop when the accused Pravin Shetty, Pravin Poojary, Sandesh Shetty, Ashraf, Anil, Umesh, Nityananda Acharya entered the shop and assaulted Umesh Acharya and threatened to kill him. A case has been filed in rural police station.

Miscreants set fire to fish crates in Bunder

Mangaluru: The fish crates have been set on fire by some miscreants at Bunder port here in the wee hours of Tuesday April 14.

The crates belonged to Abdul Aziz, a fish trader. The loss is estimated worth lakhs of rupees.

It is said that at around 1.30 am in the night, some miscreants came to the spot allegedly put fire to the boxes. The locals who saw the fire rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

More than 500 crates each worth Rs. 600 were damaged in the incident. The total loss is said to be Rs. 3 lakh.  

Locals said that from the past few days some people had been trying to create trouble in the area. "There are some people who are jealous and cannot stand anyone doing business with another community. A group of people smokes ganja and creates trouble here. Though we have given complaint to police, they just came and issued a warning, but did not take any serious action," they said.

A case has been filed in Bunder police station.

Man assaulted by miscreants, succumbs to his injuries in the hospital

Kundapur: Santosh (32) a resident of Hemmady Kattu who was brutally assaulted by miscreants on Dec. 8 in Trasi beach succumbed to his injuries in Wnlock hospital on Sunday March 8.

He was stabbed by some miscreants and was fighting for his life since three months. Gangolli police have lodged a murder case and an investigation is on.

Miscreants set afire two shops in TC Road

Ullala: Even after strict vigilance by police miscreants have somehow managed to spoil the peace in Ullala and surrounding regions. The miscreants set ablaze two tailor shops in T.C Road and damaged several banners in other areas.

The Nityananda tailor shop owned by Vasudev Poojary was completely charred in the incident. The owner has sustained a loss of Rs. 2 lakh. The incident took place on Friday night. The incident came to light as a photographer was on his way to home noticed the fire engulfing the shop. Otherwise the nearby houses and beedi branch located near the tailor shop would also have damaged.

DCP K Santosh Babu, DCP N. Vishnuvardhan, ACP Kalyan Shetty, Savithra Teja of Ullala station and SI Bharati visited the spot.

 Banners damaged:

Miscreants also damaged the banners of Hindu samajotsava and other Hindu religious programs in Amblamogaru, Konaje, Kumpala, Madyar, Madoor and many other places.

 Violation of the section:

Section 144 was imposed in Ullala after clash erupted in the region and 13 shops set on blaze by the miscreants. But even after the section the law breakers somehow succeeding in creating tension in the region.
