AP: Bengali beauty Mishti Chakraborty, who was last seen in filmmaker Subhash Ghai's Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, is gung ho about her Telugu debut Chinnadana Neekosam opposite Nithiin Reddy. Mishti was signed on for the film soon after Kaanchi, and she admits she wasn't really apprehensive about working in a new industry and a language she's completely alien to.
"The script is always the prime concern for me. Once I like it, I go ahead and sign a film. My team on the sets really helped me with my dialogues, so it wasn't actually intimidating," Mishti told Mirror. In fact, she became so comfortable with the language that she mouthed her own lines on the sets. Barring the language, she didn't find any difference in the working experience in Tollywood vis-a-vis Bollywood. "Once you're in sync with the expectations of your director, everything automatically falls in place".
The film, a romantic comedy, is directed by Karunakaran, and is slated for release on December 27. Talking about the film and her character, Mishti said: "It's a love story and I play a bubbly girl. The best part about the character is that I have a substantial part to play and the story revolves around me". Mishti has showered praises on her co-star and hero Nithiin. "He's such a co-operative actor.
He helped me a lot with my dialogues, especially whenever I got stuck." Unlike other heroines, Mishti started working in the industry with a clean slate. Mishti finds her director to be a great actor as well.
"The way he narrates and makes his actors understand the emotions of a character makes it really easy to work with him." The film was shot in Barcelona, Switzerland and Albania. "I loved shooting in Barcelona
because people there are so friendly. They are also crazy about Indian films. It's the best place to shoot romantic films because you can always feel romance in the air. Everything is so beautiful". Mishti hasn't signed any new projects yet but she has a few projects she needs to choose from. "I'm just waiting to pick the best offer. I think within a month or two, I should be able to decide".
