Arjun Kapoor Likely To Be Kapil Dev Of 1983 World Cup

Arjun Kapoor who was last seen in the movie Tevar is likely to be seen as a cricketer in his next film. With the World Cup craze getting high, latest buzz is that Arjun Kapoor is likely to be seen playing the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.

Reports suggest that a film on the 1983 World Cup which was won by India, under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, is being planned for which Arjun Kapoor has been approached for the lead role. One leading publication quoted a source saying, "Arjun has been approached and he is contemplating. Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the founder and MD of CCL, who is planning the project, has already met the actor with the script. He has also approached actors for essaying the other characters but nothing has been finalised as of now. We will make an official announcement once everything is in place."

On the other side, Gunday actor Arjun Kapoor is considering the offer and is likely to say yes to it. It is to be mentioned, the 1983 World Cup final was played between India and West Indies in which Kapil Dev played a magical knock, leading India to a historic victory. It seems films on Cricketers is getting popular in Bollywood as Sushant Singh Rajput will also be seen playing the role of MS Dhoni in a biopic.
