Mammootty is all set to portray a middle-aged lover
Mammootty the big M of Mollywood, is all set to portray a middle-aged lover. Mammootty will play a middle-aged man who falls in love with a 25-year-old woman in the movie, directed by Udhay Ananthan. The movie, which is temporarily titled as White, will have a newcomer in the female lead. The crew is currently searching for a new face, to portray the female lead.

Reportedly, the movie will be majorly filmed in London. White is jointly penned by Uday Ananthan, Nandhini Wilson, and Praveen Balakrishnan. Bipin Chandran pens the dialogues. Ousepachan compose the music. It is the third directorial venture of Uday Ananthan, who made his directorial debut with the romantic drama Pranayakalam. He has also directed the segment Mrithyunjayam, in the anthology movie Kerala Cafe.

Mollywood has watched some extraordinary romantic roles played by Mammootty, in past 36 years. He has essayed the characters with a strong essence of romance in his popular movies. Mammootty's popular movies, including Yathra, Mathilukal, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, Mazhayethum Munpe etc are the perfect examples of the actor's brilliance in the portrayal of the intensely romantic roles. The role of a writer who falls in love with a female voice, in Mathilukal and the character of a warrior who sacrifices everything for his lady love in Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, are considered as some of the best ever lover characters of Malayalam cinema.
