Serial kisser Emraan Hashmi is all set to hit the screen as a Cricketer and that too as none other than Mohammad Azharuddin. A biopic on the controversial life of Mohammad Azharuddin is on the cards and the makers have released first look of the film which seems promising. The biopic titled as Azhar has been produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Tony D'Souza.

Emraan Hashmi plays the lead role of the cricketer himself and the film will portray the controversial life of Azharuddin with all the ups and downs. The first look of Azhar shows Emraan Hashmi walking through the pavilion in a complete cricket outfit with a gloomy face. Interestingly, on one side we see fans cheering for the player as he walks towards the field, the other side shows an effigy being burnt.

The first look poster of the biopic reflects on both the periods of Azharuddin's life, when he was on the peak of his cricketing career and also his downfall after being accused of match-fixing. Emraan Hashmi's look perfectly fits with real-life Azharuddin and the makers even did not miss out the cricketer's locket. It has also been learnt that the biopic will show a thorough account of Azhar's life, including his affair and marriage with Sangeeta Bijlani. The film is slated to release on May 13th.
