Mumbai: She carved her own image in the film world through her bold and passionate roles in films like “Jism 2” and “Ragini MMS 2” and now actress Sunny Leone says it’s her “dream” to star opposite Bollywood A-listers.

“It’s anybody’s dream when they come into the industry to work with people, who they have seen in so many movies. First and foremost, I’m a fan of Bollywood films and have been following them since a lot time. So, it would enhance my talent if I get a chance to work with big stars. It would be a dream,” Sunny told IANS.

“I’m a part of everything that I want to be. I work really hard for my roles. For me the only acceptance and the only thing that is most important are my fans and staying connected with them,” she added.

The 34-year-old is returning as a host with actor Rannvijay Singh in the eighth season of reality show “MTV Splitsvilla”.

Talking about her co-host, Sunny says he has lot of energy.

“Rannvijay is really fun. He has a lot of energy to work. He is very professional. We two have a lot of things in common. We had a lot of fun on set and its great working with him,” Sunny said.

Govinda's daughter Tina to debut in bollywood with 'Second Hand Husband'

Mumbai: Tina Ahuja, the daughter of actor Govinda, is finally making her Bollywood debut in a comedy titled Second Hand Husband, after several false starts.

“Dad is a great comedian, so my responsibility is immense. I have to be careful with every role I do,” Tina claimed, when questioned about comparisons.

But being Govinda’s daughter has its plus points, too.

“He is a wonderful guide in my life. Dad is more critical of my work than mom because he analyses my effort from an actor’s perspective. He always tells me not to fear anyone and to do my own thing without thinking what others are doing,” she said.

She opted to switch from Narmmada, the name we knew her by till now, to Tina - obviously for luck.

While the luck factor is important, Tina seems to have her priorities straight.

“I am not thinking in terms of luck factor or costars right now. The main thing is I have managed to make a debut with a script I loved. My focus is to be part of good cinema in whatever genre I work,” she pointed out.

Second Hand Husband stars Tina opposite popular Punjabi actor-singer Gippy Grewal. The film also stars Dharmendra. She plays Gurpreet, who she describes as “a proper Punjabi girl, thoroughly pampered and a little naive. The trigger-off point of the story is when the traditional girl falls in love with a divorcee.

“Every girl has a Gurpreet somewhere within — a princess who lives in her own planet. I loved the role the moment it was narrated to me so much so I agreed to gain weight to get into character of a fun-loving Punjabi girl.”

The film, she insists, is not a slapstick but a proper rom-com that takes up contemporary topics of divorce and alimony. Tina is unfazed that her debut got delayed.

“I was supposed to do my first film about a year and half ago, but things did not fall in place. I have understood one thing. If I don’t get a good offer, I would rather not work.”

She may be just starting out but she has already tasted the bitter side of showbiz.

“People start writing about you even when there is no need, and I have experienced that already. I know I have to be careful about that bit,” she said.

ABCD 2 review: Varun-Shraddha heat up the dance floor

A film titled ABCD 2 - Any Body Can Dance 2 - has but the dance as the fulcrum of it all. In this semi-fictionalised tale of the Fictitious Dance Group's journey, dance is what takes the cake. And there's much patriotism, too. In a nutshell, one's review after watching ABCD 2 can just be that it is an enjoyable film. Yes, there are those inescapable parts where the film loses the viewer, but more on that later.

ABCD 2 tells the story of Suresh and Vernon's journey from Nalasopara in suburban Mumbai, to the World Hip Hop Challenge finals in Las Vegas. Of course, there's Vinnie, too, to add the necessary element of romance to the film. Prabhudheva reprises the role of Vishnu Sir from the first film, and there are stars added to the cast this time around. Suresh (Varun Dhawan), whose Padma Shri dancer of a mother had planted the germ of dancing in him, now ekes out a living as a waiter at a pub. Vinnie (Shraddha Kapoor) is a hairdresser, whose dream is the same as their dance group Mumbai Stunners' - of being big in the dancing scene of the country someday.

When at a reality show, the group is disqualified after being accused of copying the Philippines' All Stars, a world famous dance group, the team disintegrates. Suresh wants to prove it to the world that they are not cheaters. The method? By signing up for a tedious process that culminates in Las Vegas, on the World Starz Hip Hop Challenge stage. On the way, Vishnu guides them, as the team grows with dancers from other parts of the country.

Varun Dhawan dances like a dream; and pitted against his bare abs and his acting, the actor's dancing vies for space in the mind of the viewer. Shraddha Kapoor has worked mighty hard to get her moves perfect. As far as her acting is concerned, Kapoor's expressions are not as blank as during her Aashiqui 2 days, but at times, she does look like she's aware of the camera filming her. Nothing else of Prabhudheva's stands a chance in front of his moves. Even at 42, his dance doesn't make him look a day older than what he was in his Muqabla days. The supporting cast is a visual delight, especially during their dances. A special mention for Raghav Juyal. Oh, and Pooja Batra (yes, who is still best known for Virasat) plays a cameo in the film.

Remo D'Souza's direction and story blend in well with the way the film is choreographed. Tushar Hiranandani and Mayur Puri - the writing team - too, have done a good job of film-ifying Fictitious' journey. Several shots of Las Vegas, too, are breathtaking, thanks to Vijay Arora's cinematography. Sachin-Jigar's soundtrack has more than one delicious number, withBezubaan Phir Se and Sun Saathiya deserving much applause.

All good points of the film aside, ABCD 2 loses steam in its second half. The film seems too long to bear with the 3D glasses cutting into your nose-bridge, and post interval, you begin to get restless. Manan Sagar's snipping tools should have been used better. The story slows down after reaching Las Vegas, and some parts, the fight scenes, for example, begin to look repetitive and predictable. It's almost as if for some reason, at every world-level competition Bollywood takes Indians to, they need to face racial taunts. The numerous levels of the competition, again, could have been shortened.

But then, the dance is so amazing and so baroque in ABCD 2that you can't take your eyes off the screen. It is one of those rare films where you need to pacify your Attention-Deficit-Disorder-ed self because you don't want to leave the theatre without seeing the end credits roll. In all, this week's big release is a lovely watch, and will leave you by saying, 'Naach Meri Jaan!'

Arjun Kapoor And Kareena Kapoor Were Locked Up For 5 Days

Phenomenal director R Balki's next starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in the lead roles, is in tremendous buzz. Now we are shocked to hear that Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were locked in a room for five days! Yes, you read it right! Reportedly, Bajrangi Bhaijaan's actress was not comfortable to act opposite the young actor Arjun Kapoor in R Balki's next.

And to make Kareena live her character with Arjun Kapoor, Balki locked the duo in his office for five days. According to a daily, Shamitabh's director wants them to get under the skin of their characters. Arjun and Kareena play a married couple; Kareena plays a working wife and Arjun plays a stay-at-home spouse in the film. We must say, a really impactful theme! There are a lot of sequences where the duo have to quibble and argue with each other. The director R Balki wants them to master the art of agrument to get their disputes right.

And for the same, he locked up his upcoming film's actors to make them prepare for their respective roles. R Balki's last release Shamitabh, did not create much magic at the box office, inspite of the spectacular performances by Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush. The director seems to be working hard to achieve success from this movie, by focusing on every minute detail of the movie. We hope the hard work pays!

Bollywood actors may face Maggi broil

New Delhi: The Centre on Monday said the brand ambassadors of Maggi, including Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit, could face action if they were found to have indulged in misleading advertisements.

The government has widened the probe against the alleged finding of lead and taste enhancer in the Maggi noodle. The Centre stated that it is testing samples from all states and strict action will be taken for any violation. The tests are being done by the central food safety regulator FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India). Union minister for consumer affairs Ramvilas Paswan said that the reports are expected to come in the next 2-3 days.

Incidentally, a case has been lodged against Nestle India by UP food regulator FSDA in a Barabanki court in Uttar Pradesh over safety standards of its product Maggi. Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta were also separately dragged to court for promoting the “two-minute” noodles brand. He added that FSSAI has taken samples from every state and testing is going on and not only MSG and lead, all other parameters are being tested.

On possible action against brand ambassadors, consumer affairs additional secretary G. Gurucharan said, “Yes, they would be liable for action if the advertisements are found to be misleading.” He added that if the case turns out to be of misleading advertisement, the ambassadors are liable for promoting the product with ‘false’ attributes.
