Dhanush Calls Vijay A Superstar, Faces The Wrath Of Many Fans!

The debate about who the next Superstar is in Tamil cinema has been going on for quite sometime now and more often than not these arguments tend to attract unpleasant comments from fans. Thanks to the transparent nature of social media forums, prominent celebrities not involved in the discussion have requested fans not to come up with such comments in the past.

One such celebrity was Dhanush who made a similar request to his fans on a popular TV show. Ironically, he became the reason to start the much disliked debate all over again. At a curtain-raiser event in London, Dhanush who was accompanied by Anirudh has reportedly spoken about Ilayathalapathy Vijay. He has said, "Vijay sir is a good friend of mine, he is a very humble and friendly person. While talking, he will place his hand over your shoulders and will let you to do the same".

"He has his own set of fans, his own style quotient and has made a name for himself as a Superstar. I am honoured to have a friend like him," said Dhanush much to the surprise of everyone. Only minutes later, the Anegan star's words spread like ripples and needless to say, the old debate was risen from its grave, the only difference being Dhanush's inclusion in it this time around. Perhaps, the freedom of speech dies with the acquisition of stardom as far as Tamil cinema is concerned, for stars will no longer be able to get away after making a debatable comment.

Dhanush's Next With The VIP Team: Plays A School Kid Yet Again?

After the mountainous success of Velaiyilla Pattathari, Dhanush has once again joined hands with cinematographer-director Velraj for his next venture which went on floors today. The yet to be titled flick will retain the same team that constructed Velaiyilla Pattathari effectively. With Samantha and Amy Jackson playing the female leads, there is an apparent tweak in the casting which will make the project glossier than VIP.

An elated Dhanush tweeted, "Team VIP's project goes on floor from today :)seekin ur support n blessings as always #spreadlove (p.s it's not vip2)" The Anegan star is surely making hay while the sun is nice and bright as he is in no mood to give himself a break after completing Maari. While Maari goes to the post production mode, the National Award winning actor goes to the sets of his new project with a different get-up.

Going by Dhanush's looks, it is speculated that he will be playing a student in this film. Having played school boy in some of his earlier films, it will be riveting to see what Dhanush comes up with in his new movie. Amy Jackson too is keeping herself busy in Kollywood as the I girl will be seen opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin in his upcoming film which will be directed by Thirukumaran of Maan Karate fame.
