Head of the Shiite Scholars in Kuwait Al-Mahri passed away

KUWAIT: Head of the Congregation of Shiite Scholars in Kuwait Sayyed Mohammed Baqer Al-Mahri passed away yesterday.

Mahri was the imam at Imam Ali Mosque in Omariya, the head of the Islamic Christian Relations Council (ICRC) in Kuwait.

Born on December 25, 1948, Mahri had his studies at an early age in Najaf where he was an apprentice to various iconic Shiite scholars.
