Driver and friends snapped taking selfie at 205kph in Dubai

A driver has been caught on camera by Dubai Police posing for a selfie behind the wheel with his friends at 205kph.

The driver, and three passengers, all Emirati, were travelling in a Nissan Patrol with a modified engine.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Head of Dubai Traffic Police department said the young men who all under the age of 20, challenged Dubai Police by timing their selfie to be taken in front of a speed radar on Emirates Road.

Dubai police followed the vehicle before seizing it. The driver was ordered to remove the modifications.

He was fined for using the phone while driving, reckless driving, causing danger to other road users and also driving with maximum speed more than 80kph above speed limits.

Last month,  that three men in a car triggered speed camerasintentionally so they could be snapped flicking their middle finger at the radar.
