Tractor plunges into canal: Four including children dead

Yadagiri: Four members of a family died as a tractor on which they were travelling plunged into the canal in Narayanpura in Jogundabavi village of Surapura taluk here.
The deceased were moving on the tractor to Narayanpura canal for washing clothes. As the driver was reversing the vehicle it plunged into the canal.
The deceased have been identified as Gaddemma (30), children Kalinga (7), Beeralinga (8) and Sharanappa (28) all were residents of Ennivadagera village in Surapur taluk.
The villagers grew angry over the police as they failed to visit the spot even two hours after the incident took place. A day before the incident water was flown into the Narayanpur canal from Basava Sagar dam.
