Minors rape 6-year-old girl

Bengaluru: A six-year-old girl was raped by two minors at Jayapura Doddi, Bannerghatta, on Saturday. While one of the boys has been arrested, the other is on the run.
According to the police, the victim, a resident of HSR Layout, had come to her grandmother’s house for summer holidays. On Saturday, she was playing in front of her house with her brother and the two suspects. The two boys took the girl to an isolated place and raped her. The victim’s brother, who came looking for her, found the two suspects sexually assaulting her. He rushed back home and informed his grandmother.
The victim returned home and narrated the incident. The grandmother lodged a complaint. The girl has been sent for medical examination, the police said.
“Both the boys had fled the spot after committing the crime. But we managed to nab one of them by evening. The other minor is absconding and we suspect him to be hiding in the nearby forest. A special team has been formed to nab the boy,” a senior police officer said.
The Bannerghatta police have registered a case.
