Bengaluru: In what it can be called as a serious security breach, a battery cell was found in a garland that was presented to Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday morning at his official residence Kaveri by a political leader.

It is major cause of concern that how a battery cell which is not dangerous though came to the CM’s vicinity without being detected.

City commissioner of police M N Reddy has asked the additional commissioner of police-Eastern Range P Harishekaran to investigate the matter and send the report on the issue.

The garland was presented when the CM was interacting with the public and listening to their grievances. The unnamed political leader presented the CM with the garland which had small twinkling lights. It was found that the garland contained a battery cell to illuminate the lights.

The incident has been construed as a serious security breach. The police top brass wants to know how such a security breach did take place.
