Nexus with lottery scam kingpin: ACP Alok Kumar suspended

  • Comments::DISQUS_COMMENTS
Bengaluru: Even as Additional Commissioner of police (ACP) Alok Kumar denied any nexus with lottery scam kingpin, the Karnataka state government has suspended him over the alleged link ups with the scam.

Alok Kumar was accused of having link ups with lottery kingpin scam Pari Rajan.

The suspension of IPS officer comes a day after CID submitted an interim report on the illegal single-digit lottery racket in the state operated by Rajan.

Kumar was preparing to flee abroad to pursue higher education as his name along with other senior officers were mentioned in the interim report.

Reacting to the allegation Alok Kumar said he knew Rajan as a friend and considered him a well wisher.
