PU results out after re- evaluation

The Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) announced the results of as many as 34,628 answer scripts on Monday, out of 36,859 answer scripts that had gone for re-evaluation. Last year, only 19,700 answer scripts had gone for re-evaluation.
This year, the number of answer scripts for which students had asked for photocopies was a whopping 54,017, while 1,211 had been asked to be re-totaled.
As many as 1,785 answer scripts saw an increase of six or more marks, a higher number compared to 1,366 last year. DPUE officials said action to refund of the application amount would be taken in the next eight to ten days. At the same time, 1,142 answer scripts saw a decrease of six or more marks.
Significantly, a DPUE release said as many as 1,881 answer scripts had been found to have mistakes in the totaling or evaluation.
