Labourer killed in road rage act

Bangalore: A 25-year-old labourer in a private firm was killed by a group of armed men in a road rage incident in Madiwala police station jurisdiction on Monday.The victim has been identified as Selvaraju, a resident of Bandepalya. He died on the spot after being attacked by a group of more than ten people with beer bottles and knife.
Two of his friends identified as Kiran Kumar and Santosh were also injured in the attack. According to police, the trio was travelling in an auto from Muneshwara Layout to Bandepalaya when they were stopped by a group of men identified as Babu, Joseph, Keerthi, Viji, Shashi and 10 others. The group questioned the way Santosh was riding the autorickshaw which led to an altercation.
The group parted after a heated argument but later around 10.30 pm they confronted each other on eight cross in Muneshwara in which Selvaraju died and the others sustained injuries. Madiwala police suspects an old rivalry as the reason of the attack and is investigating the murder.
