One killed, Five injured as trucks collide head on

Kasargod: One died and five others injures as two trucks collided with eachother at Chengala here in the early hours of Thursday November 13.  The deceased person is C. Shijo, 35, hailing from Alacode in Kannur district was driving the mini lorry. He had sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he breathed his last. 

The incident happened when the mini truck plying towards Kannur collided head on with another truck coming from Kozhikode.  The injured persons were identified as P.V. Madhu, Sabu Jose, both hailing from Alacode in Kannur district; Hashim hailing from Puthiyatheru, near Kannur; Kottesh Rao, driver of the truck, and its crew Khader Masthan, both hailing from Andhra Pradesh; were being treated in hospitals here.
