Three shops gutted in fire in Kumble

Kumble: Three shops were gutted in fire in the main city of Kumble on Saturday December 13. The two storied complex in which these shops were operating was belonged to Mohammed Haji.
Bharath cold house belonged to Abdul Kareem of CHC road in Kumble, vegetable shop of Shafi of Mogral Chaliyangodu and Kumble Medicals of K.P Moidin Kutti were engulfed by fire. Bharath cold house was completely charred in the incident. Rs.6 lakhs loss is estimated. Loss to vegetable shop is said to be Rs. 1.5 lakhs and the medical shop owner incurred about Rs. 20 lakhs loss. The medical stocks and the name board of the shop have been gutted in the fire.
Short circuit has been suspected behind the incident. People who were sleeping on the other side of the building heard the sound and tried to douse the fire. They later informed the matter to the fire extinguishing department who later doused the fire.
