Teenager dies, four injured in car-lorry collision

Kasargod: A teenager died and four others were seriously injured in a ghastly accident between a car and a lorry that took place in the outskirts of Kasargod on late night of Sunday May 17.

The deceased has been identified as Famis Khan (16).

The people in the car had gone to Mangaluru airport and were on their way back home. The lorry was plying from Kasargod to Mangaluru. Both collided in the outskirts of Kasargod.

The occupants of the car were trapped inside the mangled car. Locals managed to take out them and were rushed to a Kasargod hospital. But Famis Khan was declared dead on arrival. Other four were taken to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment.

The lorry driver is absconding. Kasargod police have registered a case.
