One dead as fish laden lorry rams into a car

Kasargod: A youth was killed and two others were injured in a car- lorry collision in Chengala here on Wednesday May 27.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammed Saadid, studying in a college in Mangaluru and a resident of Alampady. The injured are Saadid’s cousin Asgar (15) and lorry driver Rafeeq (57).
It is said that Saadid and Asgar were on their way to home after dropping Saadid’s parents to a relative’s house to take part in the last rites of a relative. The fish laden lorry plying from Udupi to Kozhikode rammed over their car in Chengala.
The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. But Saadid succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
