Kochi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a report submitted before the court said there were clear evidences against Salim Raj in the land-grab cases at Kadakampally and Kalamassery.

The probe team said the name of Salimraj was found in the six land purchase agreements and the cheating conspiracy was connived at the Govt guest house.

On Wednesday, Salim Raj, the former gunman of Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, and nine others were arrested on charges of usurping land.

Six people were arrested from state capital Thiruvananthapuram and are related to Raj, while three revenue department officials were arrested from Kochi.

The arrested people allegedly tried to usurp about 45 acres of land in the capital, and around 1.16 acres in Kochi. The total value of the land is around Rs.400 crore.
