Elderly friends die in train accident

Kasargod: Two elderly persons died after a train hit them at Chembarika on Monday June 15. The incident came to light on Tuesday June 16.

The deceased have been identified as Abdulla (58) a resident of Badoor was a coolie worker and Abdul Khadar (70) from Kozhipady, Kumble was a fisherman. Both were said to be close friends.

It is said that the duo had left their houses on Monday morning. But as they did not return home till late night, the worried families searched for them and enquired in the vicinity. They later learnt about the train accident at Chembarika.

The families then came to Kasargod general hospital where the bodies were kept and identified them.
