Woman with two children burnt to death in Kasargod

Kasargod: In what it suspected to be a case of suicide a middle aged woman and her two small children were found burnt to death in their residence at Mavila Kadappuram in Padanna in the evening of Sunday June 21.

The deceased have been identified as Soumya (35), wife of Tekedath Chandran from Cherukunna in Trikkaripura, and her daughters Yadunanda (8) and Devananda (4).

It is suspected that family problems forced the woman to take the extreme step.

The incident happened after Soumya had returned from her husband’s home to her parental house.

 

Senior police officers from the district along with police personnel of Chandera station rushed to the spot along with forensic experts and took up the investigation.
