Missing family mystery unveils: Main plotter arrested under rape charges

Kasargod: Finally the mystery behind the missing family from Balekkala in Kumbdaje here revealed and the chief of the missing family has been booked under rape charges.

The accused is Uday (35). After interrogation police came to know that Uday had raped his wife’s 16 year old sister and when his in laws learnt about this they had warned him. He later decided to disappear along with wife, two children and sister in law.

It is learnt that under pressure, Uday’s wife and sister-in-law accompanied him. The girl was sent for medical tests in Kasargod general hospital where it is confirmed that she has been raped.

The family roamed around Ujire, Dharmasthala, Udupi and other places for more than one and a half month and later police traced them in Madikeri.

After bringing the family back home, all the five members of the missing family were produced in court. Police have arrested Uday under rape charges.
