25 persons sentenced six month jail in 2007 violence case

Kasargod: The chief judicial Magistrate court here on Thursday sentenced six month jail term and a fine of Rs. 2000 each to 25 persons in connection with 2007 violence in Manjathadka here.

The incident happened when the miscreants pelted stones at the vehicles returning from Hindu Samajotsva in January 7, 2007.

Two persons have been evicted from the case due to lack of evidence and the judgment on two persons deferred as they were absent during the hearing.
