Kasargod : Two youths died in a road accident

Kasargod : Two youths died on Tuesday July 14 after a speeding bus hit their two-wheeler and a lorry ran over them.

The deceased have been identified as Kunjathur Kanwateertha resident Shihab (18) and Kunjathur resident Sinan (19).

This incident took place on national highway at Manjeshwar Thuminadu old checkpost.

According to the sources a speeding bus plying from Talapady to Kasargod hit their scooter and the two were thrown on the road due to the impact. A lorry plying from Kasargod towards Mangaluru then ran over them. While one died on the spot, the other breathed his last on the way to hospital.

 

 The angry locals hurled stones at the bus and damaged it. The bus driver fled from the spot.

A case has been registered in Manjeshwar police station.
