Murder of CPIM worker: Strike affected life in the district

Mulleria: Buses, autos and other vehicles remained off the road as CPIM called for a district bandh (strike) today October 28. CPIM worker Muralidhar (34) resident of Shantipalla was brutally murdered by some unidentified men on Monday October 27.

Miscreants who arrived in a bike stabbed Muralidhar who was on his way to Badiadka in an auto. Muralidhar was also a noted criminal and was involved in many criminal cases. Recently he was acquitted from all cases. CPIM leaders have accused that the workers of BJP have murdered Muralidhar and called for a strike.

Except milk, paper and vegetables, all other supplies and transportations were being stopped. The protesters have demanded the arrest of the culprits in Muralidhar’s murder. So far no violence has been reported in the region. Police are keeping strict vigilance on the region. Tight securities been arranged to avoid any unlawful incidents.
