Tulu-Kannadiga fire officer injured in fire incident

Mumbai: Two fire personnel have sustained serious injuries while trying to extinguish the fire caught on an old building in Kalbadevi here on May 9. One of the fire personnel is Sudheer G. Amin, a kannadiga who serves as Dpty chief fire officer.
Amin and other fire personnel were dousing the fire while a portion of the building collapsed on them. They were taken out of the rubble after few hours. Amin sustained 90% burns and was admitted to National Burn hospital in Airoli.

Representative of Maharashtra chief minister has visited the hospital and spoke to the doctors and ordered them to provide best possible treatment to Amin.

Amin had saved hundreds of lives from Taj hotel in Kolaba during 26/11 Mumbai attack. He had been honoured with many awards and rewards by various organisations and the government for his bravery.
