Shining Star of TT: Srushti S. Haleangadi

Mumbai: Mumbai based Srushti S. Haleangadi, 10th standard student of Vidya Mandir High School in Dahisar East has started her career in sports at the age of seven at Dahisar Sports Foundation. Within six months, she won the first Medal in a promotional Table Tennis Tournament held at Juhu Gymkhana. Since then she never looked back.
 
In the very first year she was selected for Mumbai Table Tennis Team to play State Championship at Sangli.  

During the second year of her sports career she was selected for Maharashtra State Team to play National championship at Indore ( MP). Since then she is representing Mumbai T T Team & Maharashtra State-Team regularly.

During 2014-15 she had given a progressive performance at national level too  & secured No 2 Rank in India under15 category, & selected for INDIAN TEAM.

She represented India Team at Thailand Open Tournament & the India Team Won Bronze Medal & in Individual Srushti lost in Quarter Final.

Recently she represented India Team in South Asian Championship held at Delhi :Result : IndiaTeam Won the GOLD MEDAL & in Individual Event Srushti won the GOLD MEDAL & thereby became South Asian Champion (U/15 yrs category).

On 20.6.2015 & 21.6.2015 ) there was a Mumbai Super League –only for Mumbai TOP -8-RANKing Players were auctioned by 8 Team Owners . Here Srushti was the highest bided players among girls. In the said MSL Srushti awarded as BEST WOMAN PLYER OF THE LEAGUE.

Srushti Haleangadi, daughter of Surendranth Haleangadi a Sr. Manager in Nationalised Bank in Mumbai and Hemalatha Haleangadi getting all the  supports for her sports activities along with  support extended by her school and the guidance of her coach Mr. Sachin Shetty of Sr. Blais TT Academy, Andheri. Daily she used to go to Andheri from Dahisar for Training for three hours & reach home at 10.00pm. In spite of this she secured 92% in Std IX.

HIGHLIGHTS OF PERFORMANCE---(2014-15):
1. She Won the State Championship (u/15), for the SECOND YEAR in a row & total THREE State Championship till date

2. She won the GOLD MEDAL in National Ranking Tournament held at DURGAPUR.

3. She won the SILVER MEDAL in National Ranking Tournament held at GANDHIDHAM, Gujrat.

4. Slected for Mumbai Sub Distt T.T.Team for the 6th year

5. Selected for Maharashtra T.T. Team for the 5th year.

6. Selected for Maharashtra School T.T.Team (DSO) for the 4th year & the State Team Won National Title every time.

7. This year she is the ONLY GIRL Selected for State’s U/15,U/18 & U/21 girls T.T. Team to play Inter State national Championship at ALLEPY-KERALA.

8. At present Ranking 2 in INDIA & 2 In STATE also.(U/15 girls category)
