Jaipur: As many as 1,100 girls from various colleges of the city tried to set a record of sorts by clicking 'selfies' from their mobile phones together at one time.The event 'Kurja' was organised by an NGO, All India Welfare Society, on Tuesday at Birla auditorium here. "We tried to set a record for shooting selfies by a large group of 1,100 girls at one time.

The participants clicked selfies with their friends," General Secretary of the NGO Vikram Singh said today."We will now send the clipping of the act to various independent oraganisations for record certification," Singh said and added that event was an attempt to support women empowerment. 'Selfie' is a photograph that one takes of oneself with a phone camera or any other camera.
