New Delhi: The Supreme Court will Friday hear former Tamil Nadu chief minister J. Jayalalithaa's bail plea. She is presently in a Bangalore jail after her conviction in a disproportionate assets case. The former chief minister was awarded four-year prison term and a fine of Rs.100 crore.

The apex court Chief Justice H.L. Dattu said that the matter would be heard Friday as senior counsel Fali S. Nariman mentioned her matter for an early hearing. Jayalalithaa had moved to the Supreme Court last Thursday seeking the bail.
