New Delhi: E-commerce site Flipkart was left red-faced after a customer caught it selling a shoe first by doubling its price and then offering 50 percent discount on it.

Kolkata-based Mani Sankar Sen was browsing through the e-commerce site for a pair of women's sandals. Sen selected a pair of shoe, which Flipkart claimed to be offering at flat 50 percent discount.
However, when Sen took a closer look at the product's image, he discovered that the shoe is actually priced at Rs 399 by the manufacturer.

He then shared the screenshot of the product on his Facebook page.
