Hyderabad: A 23-year-old MS student from Kushaiguda was shot dead by robbers after he refused to hand over his iPhone to them in Miami, Florida.

Four to five armed robbers attacked the victim, A. Saikiran, while he was talking on the phone outside his apartment at around 11 pm (US time). He was shot four times and died in the hospital, his relatives said.

Saikiran, son of A. Srihari, a resident of Subramanyanagar, had gone to the US 45 days ago to join his course. He was living in a private apartment. His roommate Manoj, another Telugu student, told his relatives that Saikiran had gone out for a walk at night.

“He was walking just in front of his apartment, talking to his friend over phone. Four to five people  approached him and asked for his phone. When he refused to give it to them, they shot him. Four rounds were fired at him,” said the victim’s uncle A. Sravan Kumar.
