Indian worker found hanging from ceiling fan

Sharjah: The body of a 29-year-old Indian worker was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his accommodation in Industrial Area No.3, Sharjah on Sunday afternoon, a police said.
The worker is believed to have committed suicide using a rope, the official said. His Asian roommates told police they tried to lift the man’s body when they saw it, in an attempt to save his life. But their effort was in vain as he was already dead.

Police and forensic teams transferred the body to Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.
Police took fingerprints from the scene to investigate the matter but so far do not suspect anyone else was involved in the incident.
 

The worker was reported to have been suffering from depression due to psychological and social problems which might have prompted him to end his life.
Police have transferred the case to the Public Prosecution.
