Philips launches range of 4K Ultra HD LED TVs in India
Philips has marked its return to the television segment in India with a range of TVs, which includes top-of-the-line 4K TVs. The range will come with Ambilight technology, one of the patents of Philips. This technology aids in creating an aura like appearance around the TV by using ambient lighting. The new range of TVs will also feature a refresh rate of 400Hz which will offer improved motion.

Speaking at the launch, Neeraj Sethi, chief executive officer, PE Electronics Ltd said, "We are excited to be the first in this category to introduce India to the revolutionary technology of UHD TV with Ambilight which will change the way consumers view television in the country."

The range of TVs have been classified as smart TVs. They will also be Wi-Fi enabled, which means they will be capable of connecting to a wide range of internet based services as well as applications. The range is also 3D enabled, and makes use of active 3D technology. 

The Philips Ambilight 4K Ultra-HD LED TVs will be launching at key retailers throughout the nation soon. The three sizes that the devices will come in are - 50-inch, 58-inch, and 65-inch. The TVs will be priced in the range of Rs.1,55,000 and Rs.3,72,000. 

Philips has been missing from the television market in India for a while now, and will be looking to carve out a space for itself again.
