Gold and cash worth crores of a co-op bank Robbed at Bantwal

Bantwal: Bhagavathi co-op bank situated in the heart of B.C.Road is robbed for gold (22.282kg) worth crores and cash about 1.44lacks on Monday. No traces or clue is left by the robbers.
On Saturday noon the staff of the bank locked the doors and left. Monday morning when they came back on duty, the bank was robbed. Robbers came through a gully near the bank and entered the bank by breaking the window bars. The robbery was fully planned that they cut the siren wire of the bank.
Total robbery is worth 6 crores.
Dist. SP Dr.Shankarappa, Additional SP Shekarappa, Bantwal ASP Rahul Kumar reached the spot with dog squad and finger print expert.
Negligence of the bank is the main cause behind the robbery. There no CC tv, no security guard.Bank has been informed several times but they did not take any safety measure to a bank that has huge amount of transactions said SP Dr.Shankarappa . Assured case would be solved soon.
Customers of the bank were anxious and went to the spot immediately.
