Youth dies in bike accident near Kulshekar
Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a 20-year-old youth died in a road mishap near Prafulla Medicals, Kalpane, Kulshekar here on November 29.

The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Shetty Bola (20), son of Damodar Shetty and Leeta, residents of Kulshekar.

According to sources, Rakesh was on his way back home. Near Prafulla Medicals, when two buses were trying to overtake one another. He veered to the side of the road to avoid collision with two buses and in the process, lost control and fell. He sustained severe injuries on his head after hitting against a stone, sources said.

It is also learnt that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

It is learnt that Rakesh was not immediately taken to the hospital, though people had gathered at the spot.

Rakesh is survived by father, mother Lita and two sisters.

Traffic east police registered a case and urged the public to wear helmets (with restraining straps) while riding.
