‘Media Manthan-2015’ two days seminar in Aloshiyous concluded

Mangaluru: Two day seminar on ‘Media Manthan-2015’ organized by Aloshiyous College came to an end. On the second day it started off with the speech by Neeraj Khatri who talked about Pulse polio vaccination to build a healthy society, media and ethics, corporate social responsibility, new media and intellectual society and how investigation journalism is prominent in the society.

Prof. Mrinal Chatterji,Director,Mass Communicaton Indian Institute, said that seminar was very interesting and keenly heard every issue. He said he is expecting that new dimension will emerge that will help the society from the youth. This seminar has put a new light on his study.

Uma Vangal discussed about women and media related issues. News makers, breakers and changers, women achievers around the globe, depicting women as a commodity in media were some of the issues she discussed.

In order to rectify the future struggles in the field one must be prepared now. In this regard more paper presentation would be conducted, decided Prof. P.P.Sajimon of Aloshiyous College.

Media students from various colleges participated and made this seminar a huge success.

Alva’s bagged Veeragrani award and Xaviour became the runner ups.

Nitesh from Alvas secured first and Vasudeva from Mangalore University second in photography.
