Daughter accuses father for sexual assault

Mangaluru: Rural police have registered a case against a person who allegedly sexually assaulted his own 16 year old daughter.
The police said that the girl, a student of a government school, wrote to her principal about the incident. The girl has accused her father of allegedly making undue advances and not allowing her to sleep for the past few weeks. As she was hesitant to bring the matter to her mother’s notice, she decided to write about the incident to the principal.
The police said the girl underwent medical examination. She has now been housed in a home and her statement will be recorded by a magistrate.
