Chain snatchers flee away with gold chain of elderly woman
Moodubidre: Bike borne thieves snatched chain from a woman who was on her way to church for New Year special prayer. The incident happened on Wednesday evening December 31 in Kallabettu.

Helen D’Souza (50) wife of Felix D’Souza, resident of Kallabettu was on her way to Gantalkatte church on Wednesday at around 6.45pm accompanied by a local woman.

The miscreants who arrived on a bike from Maroor snatched the 40gms Mangalasutra and a gold chain of 4 sovereign and fled away. The value of the stolen gold was estimated at Rs. 1.5 lakh. The woman has lodged a complaint in Moodabidre police station.
