Deaf and dumb guy stuck inside the locker for two hours

 Moodabidre: Uneasiness prevailed in the region as a worker stuck inside the safety locker of a cooperative bank which is yet to start functioning in Shirthady on Wednesday October 29.The work of a new branch of a cooperative bank is going on in a commercial complex in Shirthady. The cash lockers were placed inside the safety room. A stone was placed infront of the locker to keep its door open. Ashfaq (23) a cleaning worker went inside the locker to clean it. As many other workers were working in the room someone removed the stone kept infront of the locker door. Due to this the door was locked.

Nobody noticed Ashfaq who was stuck inside the locker. They went to have tea in nearby hotel. As Ashfaq was deaf and dumb he could not even scream. When the other workers returned from tea they heard someone hitting the locker from inside. They learnt that Ashafq was stuck inside the locker. As there was no key they were unable to open the door.

Local doctor Anil Kumar helped Ashfaq to breathe by supplying oxygen through the key hole. Later workers brought the key from Mangalore branch and opened the door. Ashfaq came out of the locker after spending nearly two hours inside the locker.
