School girl accidentally falls in to well , dies

Kundapur: A girl was accidentally fell into the well while pulling the water and died on the way to the hospital. The incident happened in Cheenibettu in Nencharu village.

The deceased has been identified as Poornima (16) daughter of Tammayya Naik. She was a 10th standard student of Koorady school. As she was suffering from cough, she took leave from the school and had come to her house. She took medicines from Halady hospital and was staying at home.

She accidentally fell into the pond which doesn’t have protection wall around it at around 9.45am on Saturday January 3. A neighbourhood woman noticed this and informed the matter to her parents. She was immediately lifted from the well but it was little too late. She was rushed to Brahmavar hospital with the help of Sneha Jeevi Yuvaka Mandala. But the doctors in the hospital declared she was brought dead.

Poornima was the fifth child of her parents who are very poor. The family was completely broken by the death of Poornima. A case has been filed in Shankarnarayana police station.
